Female walk
Here’s the latest IOS game to be announced from the studio - Paper Titans !
Keep an eye on website for the latest news:
Sad news last week as Disney announced the closure of Junction Point Studios.

Blitz worked closely with JPS on making Epic Mickey 2, so it’s quite a sad end really. Warren Spector added a very personal thank you message to his facebook page:

Here’s hoping everyone at JPS goes onto bigger and better things. All the best people !
Here’s another walk test using the dog from Fanastic pets, with the attitude dialled up. Should of really put a saturday night fever soundtrack to this :)
BLITZKRIEG BOP

So I figure, we’re all friends here………..might as well put something unrelated to animation that I’ve been upto this month. BLITZKRIEG BOP is a charity gig I’ve organised in Leamington spa for the last seven years. Each year I pick a different charity to raise for, usually choosing lesser charities that may not have the clout of the main ones. This year money was raised for ‘fight for sight’, a charity specialising in pioneering eye research. The night raised a little over £350 which was nice. Here’s some links to articles that appeared in the local press & photos from the gig.

Back from Bradford animation festival….. Some good talks although no one seemed up for scratching below the surface of how animation in games can move forward. Would of liked some more technical information and less life stories. Still, was good to go up there and check it out. Apologies for the lack of updates, will upload some stuff real soon. For now though, here’s the latest IOS app my studio have unleashed to the world. It’s recently hit 1 million downloads. A cute little character I think you’ll agree :)
Bradford Animation Festival
My studio are kindly sending the whole animation team to the Bradford Animation festival next week. The festival is a well known hotbed for inspirational workshops, screenings and talks from some top guys in the industry. Highlights include talks by Christine Phelan (Valve), Lego cinematic animation directors David Brown & Phillip Gray (TT games) and Art & animation director Neil Thompson (Bioware).
If you’re interested in games animation I’d grab yourself a ticket and get down there.
Fun little Impact anim from Fantastic pets. I was told in focus tests for the flying game, kids laughed the most at this anim which was cool :)
